In 1997 Robert Norton released his first CD Painting the Ocean. This album, which features two vocal tracks, opened many doors and gave Robert a strong sense that his solo career had begun. In November 1997 Robert Norton was invited, on the strength of Painting the Ocean to play live improvised music at Robert Holden’s Happiness Project seminar. This was a major turning point and was very successful. He sold many CDs at the workshop and received much positive feedback. He has continued to be part of Robert Holden's team for Happiness Now seminars.
